During a session Eve White put her hands up to her head, and looked at her therapist with a big smile and said,"Hi there, Doctor!" In a cheerful voice. Her whole personality changed into another person, she even called herslef Eve Black, instead of Eve White. And started talking casually about Eve White and her problems and referring to "Eve White" in the third person, while she was "Eve Black"! Then a third personality moved in!
*Eve White is a real patient, but has had a movie about her; "The Threee Faces Of Eve".
Before the publication of Sybil in 1973 and the 1976 movie starring Sally Fields as Sybil, there had been about only 75 reported cases of MPD, Since Sybil there have been some 40, 000 diagnoses of MPD, mostly in North America.
